  2. I’ve run your race for the past 5 years. Suggestion that you provide bottled water at the finish line. The dixie cups are not adequate.
I use to love the t shirt designs and still wear the older ones to this day. I was in Kings Supermarket today and a little boy commented to me that he had run your race and had the same shirt.I don’t know who designed the shirt last year last year but I ended up giving it away. See you on Sept. 8th 1

    • Thanks for the feedback, the sponsorship of our local businesses allows the Jaycees to coordinate these types of fundraisers with proceeds going back to the youth of the town. The Jaycees have been proud to have the Belmar Spring Water Company sponsor the race for the past several years. Belmar Spring Water has provided additional water this year, so there should be no concerns over available water and we will review the size of the cups that are available to our racers.

Although I was not the designer of the t-shirt, I thought the Glen Rock town rock is a great historical fixture of the town and a good centerpiece for the t-shirt, please take a look at this year’s t-shirt and feel free to provide your feedback on Facebook.

    • The 5K race is $25 which is a fundraiser for the Glen Rock Jaycees which is a nonprofit organization that has been sponsoring and supporting a variety of community activities in Glen Rock and surrounding communities for decades.

  4. This year was our third year participating in the arboretum run, a race we look forward to as a family every year.

My husband ran the 5k, my oldest son the junior mile, and my youngest son the fun run. In years past, the fun run was divided into groups, and my youngest son was looking forward to running through the football players and over the speed bump again this year. However, this year, excitement turned to disappointment when the fun run was just one big group, running about 20 yards.

Just curious as to why this changed? Will it be that way going forward? If so, could you advertise that so I can at least manage his expectations? That would be great. Thanks

    • Thanks for the feedback and your comments will be taken into consideration for next year. Unfortunately this year’s fun run had a lower amount of participants which didn’t require multiple group starts. The change in course was a last minute decision to allow the kids to finish under the balloon arch similar to the other race finishers. We are proud to have the football team volunteer at the race and are happy to hear the kids enjoy their involvement.
