The Glen Rock Jaycees is a nonprofit organization that has been sponsoring and supporting a variety of community activities in Glen Rock and surrounding communities for decades.

In addition, the Jaycees makes financial contributions to numerous local organizations, including the Glen Rock Police, Glen Rock Fire Department, the Glen Rock Ambulance Corps, the Glen Rock Public Library, and the Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts.

The Glen Rock Jaycees has established itself as a vital community-service organization by its annual sponsorship of entertaining events in town that have become very popular among the local population. Among them are the Easter Egg Hunt at the Arboretum, the springtime Fishing Derby at the Arboretum, the Glen Rock Labor Day Arboretum Labor 5-Mile Run, and the Santa Train Ride.

The Glen Rock Jaycees also contributes to educational opportunities for local high school students through the organization’s annual scholarship award. The award is presented every year to a Glen Rock high school senior who has demonstrated a history of involvement in activities that have helped improve life in Glen Rock. The winner of the award is selected by the Jaycees and receives $1,500 to be used to pay for college or trade school expenses.

The Glen Rock Jaycees funds their activities primarily from money raised in the Jaycees Labor Day Arboretum Run and the Jaycees annual Christmas tree sales.
